What are the characterstics of successful Attraction Masters like Esther Hicks?

An important aspect to unlocking the true power of attraction for yourself, it is important to first understand that what you create and manifest; should not be influenced by others — but instead, be a compelling desire for success stemming from YOURSELF.

A quote from Jerry and Esther Hicks summarizes the kind of mental shift that you must accomplish before true Attraction happens:

In order to effect true positive change in your experience, you mist disregard how things are — as well as how others are seeing you — and give more of your attention to the way you prefer things to be.

Law of Attraction

Goal-setting and asking the Universe for your desires is important, but for those of us who are uncertain of our goals should first come to terms with themselves and their desires instead.

Law of Attraction: Improve and Accelerate Segment Intending

manifesting.png

In Esther and Jerry Hick’s Book, The Law of Attraction, widely featured in the original version of The Secret, describes a process to improve the manifestation process through ’segmenting’ life in stages and intending the things that you desire at a smaller scale in order to achieve the BIG goals.

Breaking up the big goals into smaller goals make them easier to achieve. Having successfully accomplished a smaller goal also adds to motivates to accomplish other goals as well. Its a great cycle of success!

Here’s a great visualization trick that I use frequently in order to experience and hold on the emotions of HAVING WHAT I WANT, and in turn use to improve and accelerate the process of segment intending.

Step 1: Identify the Segment

First identify the segment of your life that you will be entering.

For example:

It’s Monday morning after a relaxing weekend and a potential client is expecting to meet you for a presentation on an important project. You are riding the elevator up to her office and even though have already rehearsed the presentation, feel a little nervous about the meeting.

Step 2: Enter the Space

Close your eyes and visualize a space which you feel most comfortable in. I usually imagine my dream house, a lovely beach-front cottage on a breezy Sunset. The space that you choose to visualize yourself in must bring you a sense of calm and overwhelming joy to be in.

Experience how it feels to be in this space and prepare yourself to do a little work.

Step 3: What do you want from the Segment

While in your space, ask yourself what you want from this Segment.

For example (based on the above):

I want to give a flawless presentation.
I want a signed contract from a happy, grateful, and optimistic client.

Now that you have identified what you want, we must deliberately intend it to happen…

Step 4: Visualize and Experience what you want

In your space, imagine the events of your desires as reality. For example, the feeling of giving a flawless presentation and how confident and clear it was. Or what it feel like as a client signs on the contract and gives you a warm handshake.

Experience the emotions that you would feel as you visualize this. And as much as possible, experience the emotions right down to the smallest detail.
Experience how these emotions affects you physically as well, once again to the smallest detail. How do your hands feel? Are they warm? How does your stomach feel? Are there butterflies?

How does feel to HAVE what you WANT?

Step 5: ALLOW it and BEGIN THE SEGMENT!

Now, fully experiencing these emotions, consciously submit your request to the Universe; ALLOW your manifestation happen whole-heartedly.

Open your eyes - and begin living the Segment as you WANT and HAVE. And what you visualize will surely come to you as much as your heart desires.

Share with us some of your creative visualizations of your space and your manifestations! We would love to hear about your success stories and your own personalized techniques on how you improve and accelerate your segment intending!

What is Deliberate Creation?

In their bestselling book, The Law of Attraction, Abraham-Hicks tells us about the Deliberate Creation, or more aptly, The Law of Creation.

loa

Through Deliberate Creation, we are able to manifest events and things into our lives by ATTRACTING and WANTING it into our physical existence. And by evoking strong desire and emotion, we are capable of creating anything that we want.

How Strong is The Power of Expectation?

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

This wonderful article explains how the expectation that we have about other people influences their behavior. We behave in different ways with people according to the idea that we have created of them.

The good news are that we can use the power of expectation to influence positively other people. This means that we can adopt a more positive attitude to influence our environment and create a more fulfilling life for us and for those around us.

The Self Fulfilling Prophecy

By Dr. Madeline Daniels

Back in the 1950s a number of researchers began to realize that when people act on a belief, they create a reality to match that belief. This idea was developed further by Dr. Robert K. Merton, a professor of sociology at Columbia University, who pointed out that even when the original belief is false, people make it come true.

We humans seem to prefer that other people behave as we expect them to, and we will modify or distort reality until it conforms to our expectations. And we can do this without even being aware we are doing it!

One of the most famous studies done on the SFP was published in a book called Pygmalion in the Classroom. If you remember your Greek mythology, Pygmalion was the sculptor who carved a statue of a beautiful woman, then fell in love with it. He believed so strongly that it could come to life, that it did! Hence, the SFP is also called “The Pygmalion Effect.”

A Harvard professor, Dr. Robert Rosenthal, collected the results of over 300 studies showing the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy in action. In classroom experiments, a group of children were divided into two classes. One class was given to a teacher who was told that the students were high achievers and should do well. The other teacher was told that her class was composed of underachievers who needed special help.

At the beginning of the school year there was no difference between the two groups of children in terms of ability. By the end of the school year the class that was labeled “high-achievers” was doing better than average work. The class that had been labeled as “underachievers” was doing below-average work.

Furthermore, a careful study revealed that children who made gains in the “high achiever” group were generally better liked by their teacher, but the children who made gains in the “underachiever” class were generally less liked by their teacher!

In summarizing this research, it can be said that people prefer people who live up to their expectations, and that people unconsciously create situations that encourage the expected behavior. If the expectations are positive, people (in this case, students) are encouraged to behave positively. If the expectations are negative, people (again, the children in the class) are encouraged to behave negatively.

There has been plenty of research that shows this Self-Fulfilling Prophecy effect in job situations. Since we do it so unconsciously, adults are no more immune to its effects than children are. Remember too that this effect usually occurs despite the fact that the person with the expectation is usually unconscious of the effect he/she is having.

For example: Dr. Albert King did a study with a number of welder  trainees. All the trainees had scored approximately equal in aptitude testing before the training started.

However, their trainer was told that five of the men had shown high aptitude on their tests. (Remember, this was not true!) AT the end of the training course, these five men had an amazing record. They had been absent fewer times than the other men, they had learned the welding skills in half the time, and they scored ten points higher than the others in a comprehensive welding test given at the end of the course.

Furthermore, when the other trainees were asked to rate each other in terms of whom they most wanted to work with, each wanted most to work with one of the five “high aptitude” men.

Somehow, both the trainer and the other trainees had encouraged these five men to meet their expectation. They had created a true reality out of a false belief. In every possible way, without consciously meaning to do so, they gave the five trainees messages that said “Don’t worry; we know you’ll do well.”

With all that subliminal encouragement, it’s easy to understand why those five trainees developed a positive attitude towards themselves and their work.

In studying the Pygmalion effect close-up, we have found a number of ways in which these expectations are transmitted and encouraged to become reality:

1) Climate: The entire package of non-verbal signals encourages or discourages the worker. Think of how much a smile or a friendly tome of voice can mean to you.

2) Feedback: More positive responses encourage; more negative ones discourage. Even if a worker makes a mistake, you can respond in two ways. “Not again! You’d better learn to do it right” is very disheartening. “Not bad, but you might find it easier to try it this way instead” sounds helpful and encouraging.

3) Amount of input: If we have positive expectations about a worker, we tend to give that person more information to help them along. If we have negative expectations, we tend not to bother to give information.

4) Amount of output: We expect more work from a good worker than a poor one. Saying “Don’t bother to tackle that job; I know you’ll never do it right” discourages an employee from taking on any new responsibilities.

What you expect to come true is often what you make come true. You may have seen this in everyday life. We all know at least one pessimist who expects things to go badly, and is always complaining about the things that have gone badly. And we all know at least one optimist who expects good things to happen.

The optimist doesn’t dwell on the negative, but rather continues to work on the positive, making those good things happen more often.

It should be clear from this research that far more important than the skills you learn are the attitudes with which you apply those skills. You must look carefully at what you expect from the group you are working with. Of course, you need to develop realistic expectations. You cannot, for example, expect people to do a job in one day that logically requires a week to accomplish.

However, within these reasonable limits, the most important thing you can do to increase productivity is to expect the best of people. To expect that they will give you their best efforts. To expect that they will want to meet their goals. To expect that they would prefer to do a good job.

Whether you are unconscious of your expectations or not, those attitudes will influence how you treat everyone who works with you!

The best way to ensure that your influence if positive is to become conscious of your expectations and to develop them into positive feelings for all your workers.

Pain Is All in the Mind

Friday, May 4th, 2007

We’ve all heard the phrase ‘mind over matter’ before; it’s such a valuable thing to practice and really shows us that anything is possible. Many lessons teach us the power of positive thinking; and the law of attraction has never been more in the public spotlight. Controlling your thoughts is a phenomenon that we have to take advantage of.

Now some of the best researchers from around the world are revealing that it’s actually possible to think away pain. This is a massive development for anyone who is suffering from chronic pain, where the usual methods such as traditional medicines and drugs fail.

I found this great article that uncovers these findings and shows what great impact this could have on so many people’s lives.

Think Away The Pain

by Rachel Metz

Pain can be mysterious, untreatable and debilitating, and its causes can be unknown. But if you could see the pain — or, at least, your brain’s reaction to it — you might be able to master it.

A study from researchers at Stanford University and MRI technology company Omneuron suggests that’s possible, and the results could lead to better therapies for those suffering from crippling chronic pain.

The researchers asked people in pain to try to control a pain-regulating region of the brain by watching activity in that area from inside a real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging, or fMRI, machine. Initial results showed subjects could reduce their pain, some quite dramatically.

It’s the first evidence that humans can take control of a specific region of the brain, and thereby decrease pain, said Stanford professor Sean Mackey, who co-wrote the paper, which was published last week in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“(Similar to) going to a gym and working muscle using weights, here we’re using the real-time fMRI technology to exercise a certain brain region,” he said.

Study co-leader and Omneuron CEO Christopher deCharms said for many people with chronic pain, available treatments like medication or surgery simply don’t work. But this exercise, which researchers have termed “neuroimaging therapy,” could one day help some of the millions of Americans who suffer from untreatable chronic pain.

In the study, eight healthy subjects who’d been subjected to a painful stimulus and eight chronic pain patients underwent a series of fMRIs. The images tracked activity in the brain’s rostral anterior cingulate cortex — an area deCharms said is related to pain. Subjects watched this area on a monitor in real time during the procedure. Prompted by researchers’ suggestions of trying to lessen their own pain by ignoring it or imagining it as benign, they set out in a mental game of hot-and-cold to lessen their discomfort.

Twenty-eight healthy subjects and four pain patients were also put into control groups that tried to control pain by viewing other patients’ brain data or using other mental strategies, but no fMRIs. These tactics didn’t show a significant reduction in pain, deCharms said.

The pain patients reported that the fMRI helped them decrease their overall pain 64 percent. Healthy subjects said they saw a 23 percent increase in their ability to control the strength of their pain, and a 38 percent increase in their ability to master its unpleasantness.

“I think most people found it very exciting to be able to watch the activity in their own brain, moment by moment, as it took place,” deCharms said.

“Experience is what God is” - Burt Goldman

About Burt Goldman

It was in 1975 that Burt Goldman, a practicing hypnotist, heard about Jose Silva. Always a seeker he wanted to see if Silva’s Mind Control training was anything like what he himself was doing.

Burt Goldman

As a hypnotist his primary objectives were to motivate people to do the things they only dreamed about doing. Hypnosis, when handled correctly, did just that. He noted that the Silva Mind Control method was a form of hypnosis, well that was right up his alley. He joined Jose’s organization and shortly became the number one instructor in the worldwide organization.

Noting that many of the concepts fell a bit short of their potential he asked Jose Silva to allow him to write a manual for the thousand or so instructors teaching around the world at that time. With Jose’s approval he co-wrote the instructors manual that became a veritable bible on how to present a seminar for many of the instructors. The name of the manual, that ultimately turned into a book for the general public, was Better and Better.

In 1980, after achieving every goal he had set for himself, Burt retired, joined a country club, played golf for eight months and discovered he needed more out of life. People were clamoring for him to come back. His retirement ended abruptly, Burt created Supermind, a two day seminar that featured, and was based on, the 7 basic principles of Hermes. Supermind was a sensation. Burt taught the class all over the US and Europe. He trained others to do the seminar and soon, SuperMente was being offered throughout South America.

His active mind, seldom at rest, created other seminars. He trained people in hypnosis, and for ten years educated thousands of hypnotherapists who use his methods in Greece, Switzerland, England, Austria, Holland, France, and most major cities in the U.S. Along the way he picked up more and more knowledge and with the hermetic principles to guide him he became a feng shui master, an NLP trainer, and a teacher of psychic healing.

Creative Imagination

The Greatest Force in the Universe?

Creative Imagination has been declared by some of the greatest people throughout history as the most powerful tool that we have at our fingertips. Let’s take a look at some of the most influential sources we know about Creative Imagination.

Albert Einstein:

“Imagination is the greatest creative force in the universe.”

The Bible:

“As a man thinketh, so shall he become”

“Without vision we perish”

A creative imagination has been at the forefront of modern day visionaries such as Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Nelson Mandela, Napoleon Hill, BUT is it the most powerful force in the universe?

The Most Powerful Force in the Universe

By David Cameron

Albert Einstein said that imagination is the greatest creative force in the universe. Why would such a great man say something that sounds so silly and trivial? Look at those words again: ‘greatest creative force’. Imagination? Not education? Nor money? Nor luck?

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, said that imagination is the most marvelous, miraculous, inconceivably powerful force the world has ever known. Before you pass him away as a crackpot, know that Mr. Hill was an advisor to two U.S. presidents, was commissioned by the great and wealthy Andrew Carnegie to teach people about making their dreams come true, and has been thanked by many of the greatest people around the world for the success he helped them achieve.

People like F. W. Woolworth (founder of Woolworth’s), Woodrow Wilson (former U.S. President), George Eastman (founder of Kodak), W. M. Wrigley, JR. (Wrigley’s), and many others have used his teachings to manifest their dreams.

Imagination is the force that takes you to places you have never been.

Henry Ford relied on imagination and belief. Walt Disney said that had he not seen Disneyland in his mind, the rest of the world would not have seen it on earth. Bill Gates first imagines his products before they become actual software that we rely on. And it would serve you well to remember that many of the world’s greatest people started with nothing and built empires. They had a dream. And the universe conspired, as it always does, to let them experience their imagination.

The universe always lets you experience your imagination, whatever it may be.

The Bible says ‘As a man thinketh, so shall he become’. It also says ‘Without vision we perish’.

Your mind’s images are literally the blueprint from which your world is built.

Your mind is infinite. What are your limits? What are limits, except those that you say are so? Why else would two different people have different ‘limits’?

Life is images of the mind, expressed. What this means is that Life, The Source, uses your thoughts, your mental images, as the instructions by which to create your reality in the material world. Life expresses your mental images into physical reality.

To express is to make known, to state, articulate, communicate, convey. The force of Life makes known your thoughts to yourself and everyone else by forming them into experiences and objects that can be experienced, here in the physical world.

You experience your own thoughts first hand, your images of your mind, so that you may know which ones are suitable and which ones are not. That is how you know yourself, that is how you experience your self, and that is how you grow.

This is the supreme purpose of this physical world that we are now in. It is designed to enable you to experience your Self. It is designed to enable you to experience an idea and its effects and consequences.

Life does not select which ones of your images to express and which ones not to. How would it choose for you? It therefore expresses all of them to the extent that you have them and believe them. You have true free will.

This free will is truly free because of the fact that all of it is acted upon without filtering or favoring. Free will is truly free because of the fact that it actually gets results all the time, not just some of the time, and it gets them exactly.

Your ideas, visions and dreams, whatever they may be, are the prophecies of what you shall one day become and achieve. You can predict your outer life tomorrow by looking at your inner self today. You can change your tomorrow by changing your inner self today.

As you think, there do you find yourself. You attract the people that have something to teach you in line with your thoughts, people who have something to learn from you in line with your thoughts, and you repel those who have nothing more to learn from you and give you in line with your thoughts. The same goes for places and conditions, situations and environments.

Many things influence your imagination – past fears, desires, poor mental training, lack of awareness, sub-personalities, lack of goals – any much more. But anything that influences your imagination is under your control.

You can stop it simply by becoming aware of it and releasing it. And this is where awareness, consciousness, comes in as the key to clearing your mind of the debris that brings suffering to you and sabotages your success.
